Welcome to the Lodge of Progress 8259 Website

Welcome to the Official Website of the Lodge of Progress 8259
Based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham (UK) we are one of six Craft Lodges that meet from our purpose built Masonic Hall. We are just a few miles from Beamish Museum which features the only Masonic Hall in the country open to the public seven days a week. This hall was transported brick by brick from Sunderland and re-created on the Museum site.
The latest edition (Summer 2012) of the Provincial Gazette magazine should be with all subscribing members now. Please let your Lodge Secretary know if you do not receive your copy. An online version is always available though our main Provincial Website where you can also view back-issues.

Our regular April meeting saw the new team, headed by our new Worshipful Master, Neil Marsden, complete the first of several first degree ceremonies planned for 2012/2013.
May sees the second of those ceremonies being performed.
The next regular meeting of our Lodge will be on Friday 18th May, only our second working meeting under our new Master.
Neil Marsden – WorshipfulMaster, 2012/2013
Our May meeting will start at 6.45 prompt.
